Much outrage has been expressed over the manufacture of the electronic collar because it perceived by some as an inappropriate tool for training dogs. The electronic collar is called remote dog training by its manufacturers and is used to train a dog from a considerable distance. The currents that an electronic collar releases are not lethal to the dog. Some dogs are trained to depend on a particular toy in order to tie the motive for a particular task to the toy. Building prey drive is a dog-training tactic that enables a dog to perform a particular task for the purpose of getting its favorite toy to play with. Remote collar training is excellent for working dogs because they tend to get separated from their owners while in the line of duties. Dogs that go far to look for people or things in the course of training can be called back using an electronic collar. An electronic collar basically prevents a dog from going too far off from the home or from its owner. The training sessions for your dog must be reliably consistent if you are to make any headway in training it successfully. Make sure that your dog knows when its training period is coming up so that it can get ready for it. Each training session should have a goal to help make it fun for you and your dog. Any slight change in the tone of your voice when you issue commands can throw a dog into confusion. Dogs that have grown so used to a particular tone of voice may be unsure about what to do if a different tone is used. Be consistent in both the tone and the speed of what you are saying so that your dog will understand it.
